White House Announces New NLRB Nominations
July 22, 2025
On July 17, President Trump announced he was nominating Scott Mayer, chief labor counsel at the Boeing Corp., and James Murphy, a former career official with the National Labor Relations Board, to serve as members on the NLRB. The board has been without a quorum since President Trump terminated NLRB board member Gwynne Wilcox.
The appointment of two new members to the board means the NLRB will once again have a quorum and be able to issue new decisions and regulations. If the two nominees are confirmed by the U.S. Senate, the NLRB will consist of three Republican-nominated members and one Democratic-nominated member, with one vacancy left to fill.
NDA will keep members updated on any new NLRB rulings and regulations that may impact the demolition industry.
